 American Chemical Solutions’ growth is mainly due to technological innovation. Our extensive research programs are advanced in the pre-treatment industry. We invest a much larger portion of our income in research than is customary in the water and metal treatment fields. A professional research program continually improves existing processes and develops new concepts and methodology for surface and water conditioning.  

ACS research is responsible for major improvements of surface finishing techniques in a wide range of markets; automotive, appliance, metal forming, extrusion, fasteners, off-highway vehicles, and water treatment. We lead the industry in the development of room temperature neutral cleaners, organic coatings, and surfactant technology.  

Today, our research thrust focuses not only on product development for the specific industries we serve but is also addressing market needs in such a fundamental area as cleaners, treatments and rinses across industry lines.  This matrix approach allows us to concentrate on specific needs of particular industries and assures each of these industries the latest optimal technology. Our research capabilities include not only broad inorganic technology, but also organic and polymer chemistry as well. 

We undertake fundamental research into the basic chemistry, research that will help all of us understand how-and-why these treatments work; therefore, how they can best be improved. With all these capabilities, ACS has established and will continue to maintain a clear and significant technical position.
