Metal Forming
American Chemical Solutions’ experience in metal-surface treating led to the accumulation of a wealth of information on coatings and lubricants for the tubing, wire, extrusion and stamping industries. Present innovations include one-step coatings that eliminate copper and dry lube in the wire industry. We also carry a full line of specialized cleaners, rinse conditioners and additives designed to provide the high quality at economical prices. The elimination of a number of costly intermediate processes and equipment is realized, helping you coat efficiently with exceptionally low rejection rates. A one-step lubricant has realized success equal to that of zinc phosphate and stearate lubes.
Automotive
We have created a one-part wet booth deflocculant to denature polyurethane and epoxy paint. The pre-wipes of solvent-based formulas have been replaced with neutral water-based biodegradable formulas, which out-perform as well.

In a rapidly changing marketplace, American Chemical Solutions LLC. remains on the leading edge of technology. We provide processes for thinner gages, HSLA, multi-metal couplings, one-sided galvanize, pre-coated metals, plastics and aluminum. We are also researching the fundamentals of our technology to determine exactly why conversion coatings react the way they do. This testing led to some surprising discoveries and important new approaches for improving surface treatments.
Today, while continuing to focus on paint base and corrosion resistance requirements, the automotive industry has additional requirements that must be addressed. ACS room-temperature neutral cleaners have replaced Hydrocarbon and Trichloroethylene solvents in the automotive industry, representing major energy efficiency improvements and meeting safety and environmental standards.
Fasteners
ACS offers several products specifically formulated for treating and protecting metal fasteners in bulk processing. Our rust inhibitors protect ferrous metal fasteners against corrosion.
Recently, our research has focused on an aqueous one-step coating to eliminate disposal problems and waste treatment, in addition to improving production safety and facility handling.
